Our Mission

Maturing Disciples of Jesus Christ in increasing numbers to the glory of God

Jesus' departing words to His followers was to ‘make disciples’ to the ends of the earth and he promised His presence to be with them. Two thousand years later and this remains the mission of the church. We do this by proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ in order that sinners might be saved to the glory of God.

You

If you are a follower of Christ already and looking for a local church or you are not yet a Christian but are keen to find out more then we are a church for you. No matter the stage of life you are at, you'll find a home here.

Us

We are a diverse group of Christians from a surprisingly wide range of backgrounds all of whom love the Lord Jesus and want to bring him glory in our individual lives but also collectively as his church here in Ashford.

Him

We seek to introduce people to the person and work of the Lord Jesus as all of God’s promises are fulfilled in His Son. We are utterly dependent upon God’s Spirit to make this work effective in a person’s life. .

Our Beliefs

Loving God. Loving People.

Our Leaders

  • Keith Wilson - Pastor
Keith has served as the Pastor and an Elder of the church for the past 11 years. After a career in the City, he made a career shift in his early 30’s into full-time Christian ministry. He has served at churches in the City of London, Chicago and now in Ashford. He is married to Caroline, a teacher, and they have four grown up children. He says that it is “a great joy to preach and teach the Word of God and to see the Church growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.” He is a keen football fan (of Liverpool and Exeter City) and enjoys running, golf, tennis and dog walking!
  • John Manger - Elder
John came to faith here at ACC in 1973, and has served as an Elder since 2004, having previously chaired the Leadership Team.  John preaches regularly, heads up the PA team, and co-leads two weekly study groups where he tries not to talk too much about railways, motorcycling, castles, food, road trips, or his two grand-daughters. Prior to entering semi-retirement he was a software engineer and technical trainer with HP.
  • Ian Smith - Elder
Ian grew up in Kent before coming to Ashford to join the Inland Revenue. He became a Christian in 1981 because of his team leader and her husband sharing their faith with him, and through the friendship and witness of people in ACC. He met his wife, Barbara in the church in 1983 and together have been involved in leading the work among children and youth and leading home groups. Ian is the church treasurer, and teaches GRID on a Sunday. Ian is the Head of Operations at East to West and loves bike (both pedals and petrol!)
  • Liam Maguire - Families' Pioneer/Elder
Liam joined the church in September 2015 as our Families’ Pioneer, which sees him working alongside families with children under 11 whether in the church, connected to the church or in the local community. In the main, he works to connect what is taught on a Sunday morning with what happens in the home. Liam oversees the church’s children's ministry and outreach, preaches regularly and leads a small group (amongst other things!). He is married to Abi and has two boys, Jonah and Ezra. For fun, he enjoys reading, birds, insects and running with their dog, Moses.
